Chapter 01 · Water
The best charity is water.
So in 2020, a group of us, Muslims in the UK who wanted to help, put our money together for one well. In Zimbabwe.
Chapter 02 · Then another
One well became over a hundred.
Hand pumps in Pakistan and India, then Uganda. Each one with a name on it.
Chapter 03 · The masjid, 2021
Let's try and build a masjid.
Masjid AR-Rihla, in Uganda. At a time we did not believe we could.
Chapter 04 · Gaza, 2023
When the border closed, we fed families inside.
Hot meals and food parcels, by teams already there.
Chapter 05 · Here at home
Suhoor packs, to the masjids.
Most Ramadans. And our events, like the Sisters' Iftar, bring the community together and raise money for the work.
Chapter 06 · Uganda
And then, the OU Village.
A masjid, classrooms and dorms. Children living and learning there since December 2023.
Giving is the easy part.
Cooking. Packing. Carrying it out.
Standing with people.
